I choose Walmart to analyze. Wal-Mart it functions as a site for online shopping. It’s arranged just as a store would be laid out. Navigating the site is easy the tabs are clear, and if the shopper can't find an item there is a search bar where it can be searched. This site is intended for shoppers. With the prices and various colors, it catches the shopper attention attracting them to various items. The home page provides endless options, basically they overload the shopper eye with price cuts to make the feel that they are catching a sale. The advertising screen that appears gives the shopper their first interesting sale. The purpose of the sidebars is to group together the common items and what goes along with the items. The topic heading at the top just give addition ways to save and spend money. Basically their main purpose is to promote money. They use values of the day to show the big sales. Pictures of how to use and of the items are also placed on the site to give the shopper a view of what they are buying. The pictures are also trying to persuade the shopper by showing how you use the items. Then they also have a brief description of the item describing its worth. The Yancy's methods were used throughout this site from the organization to group like things, to the attention grabber's, to the mapping out idea as a guide. Yancy’s ideas were interpreted into the way once you clicked on the sidebar it mapped out different things that could be find through that section.
